Join Creative Ambassador Deborah Kennedy for the Broadside and Poetry Project, where participants will learn how to create their own compelling broadside (or poster) that features their art and short poems. The Broadside Art and Poetry Project gives voice to the creativity in our San José community in a fun and playful environment.

Broadsides are single sheets of paper, often large, printed on one side with text and artwork. The medium has been used to share information publicly since the invention of the printing press, contemporarily taking the form of posters. Early broadsides featured art, ballads, commentary, and announcements and were a way to share information and viewpoints, much like social media today.
