Anahita II by Sholeh Asgary (2pm)
In this in-gallery electroacoustic performance, sound artist Sholeh Asgary presents an exercise in giving voice to water. Creating a live score for her artwork Anahita II, Asgary mixes the sounds of water flowing through a water clock (an ancient method of measuring the passing of time) with traditional Persian lamentation songs the artist has deconstructed. This performance is programmed in conjunction with the exhibition a small ocean swallowed.
Duration: 25-40 minutes.
Advance registration is required. Due to spatial limitations, each performance will be capped at 20 tickets. Late entry not allowed.
